Wed. 20.5.09 - In fact they will be 9 weeks old tomorrow!
This may be the last close portrait I can get of them together. Victory has the pink ring, Purity the purple.
They are still returning to the dovecote at night, but stopped sleeping in the same nest box at about 6-7 weeks.Since Silver, no other dove has invaded their territory, thank goodness.
Purity's Godmother, the blogger Elizabethd, alerted me to a lovely giveaway on her friend's blog - please do have a look at this lovely and different china http://ramblingsfromanenglishgarden.blogspot.com/
The end.

So lovely Faith, to have watched them grow. I was worried about Purity, so glad she is O.K.
Such a lovely picture. Are you able to work out 'what' they are yet?
CKx
CK, they are too young to know whether they are M or F yet. They will start displaying typical behaviour when they are 5 -6 months old I think.
Faith, they are looking so lovely! I'm very proud of 'my' dove!
My garden has so many wild collar doves (wood pigeons really)and they can be a nuisance. Much better to have your lovely white tame ones. Have added your name and nice to meet you.
Nice to meet you too Barbara. I will look properly at your blog asap. Best wishes.
Hello my name is Michelle, on the day I was born a white dove flew on my father's shoulder, we named him charley. Charley has been in my life for 17 years but sadly he became ill and just yesterday we had to put him to sleep. I know that he is in a better place now but it is going to be terribly hard for me to move on because i don't know life without my dear dove Charley. I love him so
It is nice to know that there are others out there who love doves as much as i do, although there will never be another charley, i will always have a special connection with doves and birds in general...please email me
